Is it so famous that it doesn't need a link?

Ah ... as you can see ... I've sorta been by myself a lot in here. LOL.
Still is kind of useful even in SOLO mode ... as I'm not always at same PC. I'll add a link. |

Makr, just so you know ... I have a ManifoldLab plugin
that was created specifically for use with KnotPlot. It's the wavefront batch importer. I also have an old KnotPlot, which unfortunately may be better than the new one. |

Thanks. I'm quite sure that I have KnotPlot, too (or similar) in some old backup cd. At a time when I was very interested in patterns. I never got around
to using it.
There was another program, called Arabeske, which outputted Pov-ray and EPS - which I liked a lot. This produced symmetrical patterns - useful for making grills, etc. (arabesques, almost) . Now that you've reminded me, I intend to hunt for it, and re-use it. While I prefer the rendering of Yafaray & Kerkythea (not to mention, Luxrender, an unbiased render), Pov-ray is a quite unique combination of renderer, texture/pattern maker - and even modeller! Some features include: the ability to make complicated patterns, and "instances" with sem-random changes in size, colour etc. Something like your "Random xxx" plugin modules |
